Performance & Reporting Lead
£30k - £38k Per Year
How This Role Fits
You’ll sit within the Technical Delivery department, reporting to the Technical Delivery Lead.
Technical Delivery is one of three departments in our service delivery function — the other two are Account Management (member relationships, retention, growth, RAGG, quality control) and Campaign (content, campaign delivery, proofreading, newsletters, graphics, video).
You have LMA (Lead, Manage, Accountable) over the technical SEO function — covering both strategy and implementation — and the PPC function. The reports your team produces are the foundation that Account Managers use in quarterly member reviews, so accuracy and timeliness aren’t optional — they’re the entire point.
You’ll also collaborate with the Campaign team on content SEO alignment, ensuring that what’s being written supports organic search objectives, and with Account Managers to make sure reporting is delivered in a way members actually understand and can act on.
The company runs on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System), so if you’re familiar with rocks, scorecards, and structured accountability — you’ll feel right at home.
How We Work
We’re opening a new Orange & Gray HQ and moving to a hybrid working model. You’ll be based from the office a couple of days a week, with project work, team sessions, and collaborative days happening in-person. The rest of the time, you have the flexibility to work from home.
For a performance and reporting role, in-person time is where you’ll align with Account Managers on reporting needs, review SEO and PPC output with your team, and coordinate cross-department on what the data is telling us.
What You’ll Do
Lead, Manage, Accountable (LMA)
Lead the technical SEO and PPC functions within Technical Delivery — you’re accountable for the output, quality, and results of both

Oversee technical SEO implementation: site optimisations, GMB management, local directory management, and NAP accuracy
Ensure SEO work is driving measurable organic growth — rankings, traffic, and local visibility improvements
Collaborate with the Campaign team to ensure content is aligned with SEO objectives — the right topics, the right keywords, the right structure
Stay current with search engine algorithm updates and ensure strategies adapt proactively Manage PPC
Oversee PPC campaign management: setup, optimisation, budget pacing, and spend efficiency
Ensure lead quality and conversion performance are tracked and improving across all active campaigns
Hold the PPC function accountable for clear reporting and actionable insight generation
Ensure landing page and funnel feedback is provided to developers to improve campaign results
Monitor budget adherence and flag any issues before they become overspends
Own Reporting
Own the accuracy and timeliness of all member performance reports produced by the Technical Delivery department
Ensure every report tells a clear story: what’s working, what’s not, what’s changing, and what to do about it
Work with Account Managers to understand what members need from reports and ensure the format and content delivers
Build and maintain reporting templates and frameworks that are consistent, reliable, and easy for non-technical people to understand
Identify trends and insights across the member portfolio that inform broader strategic decisions
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
Work closely with Account Management to ensure reporting supports their quarterly reviews and member conversations
Coordinate with Campaign on content SEO alignment — ensuring what’s being written supports organic objectives
Feed performance insights into the wider service delivery function to drive continuous improvement
Track time and tasks accurately in Monday
What We’re Looking For
We need someone who understands SEO, PPC, and analytics well enough to manage the function — and who cares about data accuracy as much as data interpretation.
To be considered, you should have:
Understanding of technical SEO — you know how Google Suite management, meta optimisation, GMB, NAP, and local SEO work at a practical level. You don’t need to be the deepest specialist, but you need to know good work from bad
Understanding of PPC — you understand campaign setup, optimisation, budget management, and conversion tracking well enough to oversee the function and hold it accountable
Strong analytics and reporting skills — you’re comfortable with Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and paid media reporting. You can pull data, verify accuracy, and build reports that tell a clear story
People management ability — you’ve led or managed a small team and can set standards, manage output, and hold people accountable for results
Attention to detail — data accuracy is non-negotiable. You check the numbers, you question the numbers, and you don’t let wrong numbers reach a member
Communication skills — you can translate technical performance data into language that Account Managers and members actually understand
Organisational skills — you’re managing multiple functions (SEO, PPC, reporting) simultaneously and nothing can slip through the cracks
Accountability — if a report is wrong, an SEO strategy isn’t working, or PPC spend is off-track, it’s your function and you own the fix
Nice to have (but not essential):
Experience managing SEO and/or PPC in a marketing agency or digital services environment
Experience with local SEO for service-based businesses
Experience working with US-based clients or US search markets
Experience with EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System)
Experience in the hearing care or healthcare industryHow We’ll Measure Success
You’ll know you’re winning when:
Organic traffic and keyword rankings are improving across the member portfolio
Local pack positions and GMB performance are strong and growing
PPC campaigns are driving qualified leads with declining cost-per-lead trends
PPC budget adherence is within 5% of allocation across all campaigns
Member reports are delivered on time, every time — target: 100%
Report accuracy is verified and trusted — Account Managers never have to question the numbers
Your team is performing, developing, and hitting their individual KPIs
Cross-functional collaboration with Account Management and Campaign is smooth and effective

What your (potential) colleagues say
"
"Joining Orange & Gray has been one of the best career decisions I’ve made. From day one, I felt welcomed into a warm, upbeat remote team where open communication and camaraderie aren’t just buzzwords—they’re real. The culture manages to be professional yet relaxed, striking that rare balance where people take their work seriously without taking themselves too seriously. What stands out most is the creative freedom. Orange & Gray gives you space to experiment, share ideas, and take risks without fear of failure. It’s the kind of environment where innovation isn’t just encouraged—it’s expected. Working alongside Oli, our CMO, has been especially rewarding. He’s always open to new ideas, and our back-and-forth pushes projects further than I thought possible. The company’s get-togethers are another highlight. They go beyond the usual ‘team-building’ clichés and create real connections, not to mention unforgettable experiences. A personal standout was being given the chance to meet marketing legend Rory Sutherland and actually collaborate on content—something I never imagined a workplace would make possible. In short, Orange & Gray is more than a job. It’s a place where creativity thrives, colleagues feel like teammates, and personal growth is taken seriously. If you’re looking for a dynamic, supportive, and genuinely exciting workplace, I can’t recommend it enough.”
